THE E-COMMERCE GERMANY AWARDS is an annual event celebrating excellence, creativity, and success among service provider companies with their services available in the German e-commerce market.

The event has 2 main goals: first - providing a platform for innovative companies to showcase themselves and second - highlighting the most promising solutions to the challenges faced by online shops, retailers, and brands, thereby fostering industry growth.

Since 2018, it has become a key event in European e-commerce, offering companies a chance to shine and boost brand recognition in the DACH region.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

Participating in the E-commerce Germany Awards boosts visibility in the DACH region, with over 20,000 industry peers voting annually. Making the TOP10 or winning enhances recognition and credibility, with winners receiving extensive promotion on leading German e-commerce platforms and social media.

The contest concludes with a Prize-Giving Ceremony and networking party, offering service providers a chance to celebrate, connect with industry leaders, and explore new opportunities. It’s a unique opportunity to gain recognition, forge connections, and elevate your business in the e-commerce sector

WHO CAN ENTER THE CONTEST?

The contest welcomes e-commerce service providers and software companies worldwide, as long as their services are accessible in Germany and the DACH region. Each company may submit their solution in a maximum of 2 categories.

Key Dates and Rules of the Contest

Terms & Conditions Highlights

WHO MAY PARTICIPATE:

  • Only entrepreneurs who are service providers in the e-commerce industry and whose services are already available in the German market are eligible to participate in the Contest as Participants.

  • Any company may participate in a maximum of 2 categories. There are totally 12 categories(you will find the description below on the website).

INFORMATION REQUIRED

  • The initial application requests only the product or service name, company details, and the submitting person's contact info. The rest of the information is filled out in the next steps.

  • To gather votes participants should fill out the profile of their solution or product. The following information will be requested: a succinct description of their product or service, including its problem-solving aspect; insights into the product's benefits, uniqueness, and recent innovations. Additionally, contestants are asked to share case studies with testimonials and/or feedback from their clients. They may also submit a brief video showcasing the product.

  • A participant is also asked to provide a public URL address of the company's logo.

STAGES OF THE CONTEST:

  • Submissions: Contestants submit their applications at the contest's website. After a while, they receive a link to their profile with a request to fill out the needed information about their product or service.
  • Round 1: Public voting of Internet users (LinkedIn account required) to determine TOP 10 submissions in each category. The companies with the highest number of votes in a given category will be qualified for the next round (max 10 companies from each category).
  • Round 2: Final voting of the Jury to select one winner in each of the twelve categories
  • Winners Announcement: The awards are given to companies with the highest total number of points from the public voting and the Jury voting combined during the E-commerce Germany Awards Ceremony and Networking Party which takes place on 19.02.2025 in Berlin.

FEES:

  • Each entrepreneur applying to the Contest consents to pay a participation fee in case it receives enough votes to be selected as one of the Nominees (TOP10 companies) in its category, thereby advancing to Stages III and IV of the Contest.
  • The Participant is only obliged to pay the participation fee if selected as the Nominee (one of the TOP 10 companies). Companies that don't proceed to the next stages don't pay.
  • The Participant can't refuse to enter the next steps of the Contest and pay a fee after the online voting is over and the Nominees are announced.
  • The fee is 400 EUR for the submission in the first category, and (if applicable) 250 EUR in the second category.
  • After signing the contract and paying the participation fee, the Participant receives 1 complimentary ticket to the Awards Gala scheduled for 19th of February, 2025 - in case of being in the TOP10 in 1 category, and 2 complimentary tickets in case of being in the TOP10 in 2 categories.

EXHIBITORS OF E-COMMERCE BERLIN EXPO 2025

  • Exhibitors of the E-commerce Berlin Expo are participating in both rounds for free.
  • In order to be present at the E-commerce Germany Awards and Networking party Exhibitors are obliged to order the tickets at their exhibitor's panel.

TERMS:

  • Submissions are accepted from December 2nd, 2024 till December 20th, 2024 on the contest's website.
  • Submissions can only be edited till January 6th, 2025, (11:59 pm) CET.
  • Online voting starts on January 07th, 2025 and finishes on January 23rd, 2025 (2:59 pm) CET
  • TOP 10 companies are announced on January 24th, 2025 at 12pm CET
  • Jury voting starts on February 3rd, 2025
  • The winners are announced on February 19th, 2025 in Berlin during the E-commerce Germany Awards Ceremony and Networking Party.

The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any submission in the Contest or entitlement to a prize, if, in the sole discretion of the Organiser, it determines or suspects that the entrant has attempted to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or other fraudulent, deceptive, or unfair playing practices.

    Submissions Open

    Time for the companies' submissions. One company may enter a maximum of 2 categories. For the initial submission, only basic info is needed. The rest information will be required at the next step. Submissions are accepted until 20th of December 2024 (23.59 CET).

  • December 23, 2024

    Completing Submissions and Verification

    After initial submission, participants receive a link with access to their profile. Now it's time to fill out the form and answer the questions (check T&C highlights). The Organizer will verify the submissions. Verification takes place until the 6th of January 2025 (23.59 CET).

  • January 7, 2025

    Round 1: Public Voting

About the Awards

To participate in the E-commerce Germany Awards, you will need to provide the following initial details (by December 20th, 2024):

  • Product or service name
  • Company details
  • Contact information of the submitting person

Here are the most important dates in the contest:

Participation in the E-commerce Germany Awards Contest is free of charge for the E-commerce Berlin Expo exhibitors. Other participants will be required to pay a participation fee, but only in case they are chosen as one of the top10 companies in the category and get through to the second round of the E-commerce Germany Awards contest (i.e. jury voting); the fee is 400 EUR for the submission in the first category, and (if applicable) 250 EUR in the second category.

Yes, you can enter two categories. However, each of them needs to be in a different category. Please note the votes don’t add up.

The E-commerce Germany Awards are open to e-commerce service providers and software companies worldwide, as long as their services are available in the German market. Companies can enter a maximum of 2 categories, and only those who are service providers in the e-commerce industry are eligible to participate.

The process for participating in the E-commerce Germany Awards includes the following stages:

  • Submission: Complete your application by submitting the basic information about your company and product.
  • Filling out the profile: Within 10 days receive a link to your profile from the Organizer and fill out all the details of your product or service
  • Public Voting: Promote your submission so your clients and partners can vote for it. Gather votes. Linkedin profile is needed for voting.
  • TOP10 announcement: The 10 companies with the highest votes in each category advance to the next round.
  • Jury Voting: A panel of judges review the top 10 companies from each category and select the final winners
  • Choosing the winners: Third, second, and first places in each category are chosen based on a combination of public votes and jury evaluation.
  • Winners announcement and Awards Ceremony: Winners are announced during the E-commerce Germany Awards Ceremony and Networking Party taking place in Berlin on February 19th, 2025.

Each category will have three finalists: third, second, and first place - resulting in 12 first-place winners across all categories.

During the Awards Ceremony in Berlin on February 19th, 2025, the second and third-place finalists will receive diplomas, while the first-place winners will be presented with awards. All finalists will benefit from industry-wide recognition and enhanced visibility across social media platforms.

Additionally, winners who are E-commerce Berlin Expo 2025 exhibitors will receive special badges for their booths, distinguishing them during the second day of the expo.
