ePages is a comprehensive online shop platform tailored for small and medium-sized businesses in Europe. It provides an easy online selling solution for various industries, requiring no prior technical skills or significant investment. The platform is cloud-based, utilizing MACH principles (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless) and is backed by a robust partner network including STRATO, IONOS, Sage, Deutsche Telekom, Telefónica, and Host Europe. These partners offer ePages shops as a white-label product, collectively serving over 100,000 merchants. The platform has consistently received high user ratings, such as being named a Champion in the Professional User Rating Study 2024 by the Heise Group for the fourth year in a row.

ePages caters to all customer needs across three areas: DIY, DIWM, and DIFM, supporting various groups, including those lagging in digitalization.

DIY customers benefit from a user-friendly drag-and-drop editor, free design templates, and simple setup processes for products and online payments, enabling quick and cost-effective shop creation without prior knowledge. DIWM merchants, short on time for extensive design, can access a range of support services like webinars, a help center, tutorials, blogs, or direct consultation from ePages' web design and e-commerce experts. For DIFM clients, who lack the time or resources for individual shop setup, ePages experts offer personalized support and implementation at a fraction of an agency's cost. This approach ensures a tailored online presence for every merchant, directly in their shop.

The ePages shops convince with ease-of-use via drag-and-drop as well as free design templates that are optimised for all end devices. The ePages platform is cloud-based and optimised for the German market. Regular, free updates ensure that the shops are always up to date with changes in the market and in conformity with legal regulations.

Through native integrations to marketplaces (e.g. Amazon, eBay), comparison portals (e.g. idealo, billiger.de) and shopping feeds (e.g. shopping ads on Google and AI-supported Performance Max campaigns), a multi-channel sales approach is made possible and the products in the online shop range are placed accordingly in the online user journeys. In addition, various third-party extensions are available in the ePages App Store that cover even more functionalities.

Product or service innovations

Automatic updates in the cloud solution regularly bring new integrations and extensions to shop owners. Last year, for example, this enabled the integration of Shopping Ads on Google powered by AI-supported Performance Max campaigns as one of the first German ecommerce platforms next to PrestaShop. Some other innovations and integrations which have been added last year include:

• Simplified payment onboarding with payment service provider Mollie: Mollie's new integration can be set up in minutes to get merchants ready to sell quickly. With popular payment methods such as PayPal, Apple Pay, purchase on account, credit cards, Buy Now Pay Later and many local payment methods, they can sell their products anywhere at advantageous conditions. • Integration of PayPal Checkout: ePages was one of the very first platforms to integrate PayPal Checkout in Germany. The new integration has an even more customer-friendly checkout and all the functions that merchants already know from the predecessor PayPal PLUS. In addition, PayPal Checkout offers PayPal's popular "Buy Now, Pay Later" methods, such as payment by instalments and the "Pay Later" option. • Design templates that cover all business verticals: Simplified onboarding of new, free design templates allows shop owners to experiment and activate the perfect design for their business within minutes. The designs are based on different industries and serve as a quick guide to style, structure and shop colours.
