We use our expertise, technology, experience and industry connections to make expansion easy, whilst offering customers worldwide the chance to own products they may otherwise not be able to access.

Using a single ‘Pertemba’ account, we handle all the heavy lifting associated with selling on each marketplace, removing the need for our partners to tackle barriers such as:

• Localising content and handling multilingual customer service
• Managing cross-border shipments and returns
• Handling multiple currencies
• Duty, VAT and/or tax compliance

Anyone can sell on online marketplaces, but very few businesses move beyond the likes of Amazon and eBay: Expansion usually requires significant investment, resources and many internal changes. Adding a single marketplace to a business can take months, sometimes even years…

By contrast, we pride ourselves on offering an ever-growing number of marketplaces worldwide with minimal effort, investment and business disruption for our partners. At the heart of Pertemba, we are a tech business and our technology (alongside our highly skilled teams) allow us to overcome any hurdle that would normally be insurmountable for most retailers or brands. Whether that is a custom integration into a platform unsupported by major integrators, handling logistics and export compliance or the difficulties of handling customer service in multiple languages – there is nothing beyond our scope.

In the last 12 months our business has gone through a period of huge growth. Our technology has evolved to facilitate and sustainably support this, with examples including:

• Created a fully data-driven middleware, ‘Carrier Pod’. This system is integrated with multiple carrier platforms, allowing for dynamic routing at an individual SKU level based on user-defined rules and priorities. This innovation has also been expanded to create a predictive pricing system, allowing for consideration of impacts such as customs fees and clearance, territory restrictions and item dimensions
• Built new marketplace integrations, using bespoke systems and rules to send data to marketplaces hosted by Mirakl, Octopia, Marketplacer, ChannelAdvisor and many more - enabling launches within just a matter of weeks
• Embedded our Cloud-based technology solutions into our EU and US facilities, to support new partners within these geographies with their marketplace expansion
• Improved data handling, supporting growth by allowing us to hold data relating to over 1 million in stock SKUs across all territories
