Bei einem jährlichen Verbrauch von einer Million Verpackungen mit den Maßen 350 x 250 x 130 mm mit zwei Selbstklebestreifen und einem Aufreißfaden können durch den Einsatz der Verpackungslösung von DS Smith bis zu 1.700 Kilogramm Klebstoff sowie 350 Kilometer Aufreißfaden aus Kunststoff eingespart werden.
Der intelligente Verschluss- und Öffnungsmechanismus der Versandverpackung kommt mit lediglich einem Klebestreifen zum erstmaligen Verschließen und auch zum Verschließen für den Rückversand aus.
Ein Aufreißfaden aus Kunststoff, wie er in herkömmlichen Versandverpackungen verwendet wird, ist dank der innovativen Konstruktion überflüssig und wird zu 100% eingespart – und all das bei weiterhin uneingeschränkter Retourenfähigkeit der Verpackung.
Durch den neuartigen Verschluss- und Öffnungsmechanismus ist kein Aufreißfaden mehr erforderlich und anstelle von zwei Klebestreifen nur noch ein Streifen.
Hierdurch wird Kunststoff in Form von Klebestreifen und Aufreißfaden einspart.
