The ASD STAN Digital Standards project involved creating a machine-readable digital standard based on an XML document schema and a FontoXML editor using NODE, REACT, and Web 3.0 technologies. Automating the process of creation and voting on standards and enabling automatic verification using software significantly reduced time and simplified procedures. The project also aimed to move away from relying solely on donations from major players and start selling standards to smaller companies, diversifying revenue sources.
The project's objective was to become a leader in standardisation, ensuring maximum safety and reliability in the aerospace industry within the European Union while collaborating with small businesses and providing accessibility to standards. The implementation of new technologies and processes enhanced efficiency and improved standard quality, leading to long-term stability and competitiveness for ASD STAN in the aerospace industry market.
