Latori GmbH | Shopify Plus Agentur
Latori GmbH was the first Shopify Plus agency in Germany and has thus been a strong partner of enterprise e-commerce business in the DACH region for 10 years. With these years of experience, the Latori team of over 35 e-commerce experts supports merchants in a wide range of challenges: migrating from other systems to Shopify Plus, managing of complete store set-ups, designs and redesigns as well as marketing. Latori's great expertise lies in programming. In addition to their own Shopify apps, the competent developers also create smartphone apps for Shopify customers, personalize themes according to customers' wishes, develop special features for online stores such as configurators, bundle functions or merchant search, and find ways to connect systems just as ERP, fulfillment or PIM. Topics such as headless commerce or omnichannel commerce have also already been successfully implemented.
B2B, B2C and D2C customers like Sennheiser, Babbel, Gymondo, Mister Spex, Asphaltgold or The Female Company rely on Latori's services.
Latori's great strength lies in its development on Shopify Plus. Here we work on the basis of the Liquid programming language. For app development, we rely on Ruby on Rails in the backend and React and Polaris in the frontend.
What distinguishes our agency is the holistically optimization of clients’ commerce presence. Be it through the creation and personalization of an appealing design, through outstanding UX with specially developed functions, through marketing measures (SEO, paid ads and co.) or through the creation of an omnichannel construct that links apps, social media, online store and POS. Latori offers a wide range of services implemented by an international and highly competent team.
In the last 12 months, we carried out the migration of 2 online stores to Shopify Plus for the enterprise customer B.O.C. (boc24.de). In the process, a product catalog with over 15,000 products had to be transferred to the new system. With Shopify's omnichannel capabilities, the brand was able to integrate all of its retail stores with its online stores, as well as synchronize complex product and inventory data, with our support. To efficiently meet B.O.C's needs, we opted for a hybrid approach that included leveraging Shopify's out-of-the-box capabilities. These were then extended with third-party and high-value apps. Due to the company's complex inventory logic, Latori's own developments also had to be made and implemented.
At B.O.C., these were used to exchange product data, fulfillment messages, and update inventory. For systemic integration with Shopify, we programmed a Shopify app. Through the migration that Latori performed for B.O.C., the company now saves 60% of the costs compared to the previous e-commerce system
Further projects in the past 12 month: Quick Commerce company GoTiger: We developed an app for their delivery service, running on iOS and Android and using a headless approach on Shopify Plus. The result: over 100,000 app downloads in the first 6 months and +400% higher order numbers. https://www.latori.com/blogpost/gotiger
Shopify App Best Price Indicator (BPI): We developed a Shopify app that can be found within the Shopify App Store. This app solves the hurdles that the new Price Indication Ordinance (PAngV) brings with it. Since May 2022 the lowest price of the last 30 days must be displayed as the comparison price. The Latori BPI stores the lowest price of the last 30 days (or longer if desired) in a metafield and can be output in the shop easily and without much effort. This way merchants no longer have to worry about this issue, save a lot of time and comply with the new law. https://apps.shopify.com/price-indication-regulation

Our customer Nils Dehn, e-commerce project manager at B.O.C., had the following to say about the B.O.C. project with Latori: "By migrating the store system, we have a monthly cost saving of up to 60% compared to the store solution we were using before." → to be found here https://www.latori.com/blogpost/casestudy-boc
Commenting on the client project with Lensit (Norwegian subsidiary Mister Spex), Ulrich Tietze, Head of Product Enterprise Application, said: "In principle, you can probably implement Shopify yourself, maybe even Shopify Plus. But the insights and knowledge are what make a good partner. It saves time and money when in doubt. A qualified partner advises you and takes away many challenges. We have worked very intensively with Latori. You just want that kind of support on a project like this!" → to be found (in German) here https://www.latori.com/blogpost/lensit-case-study
Larissa Dien, digital project manager at our client Asphaltgold, describes the collaboration with Latori as follows: "Latori allows us to work independently, supports us and doesn't make us dependent on them. They give us the tools and knowledge so we can implement smaller things ourselves. That's the support you want from an agency, to not be dependent, but enabled." → to be found here https://www.latori.com/blogpost/asphaltgold-en
