With the Supply Smart Analyzer, entire supply chains can be simulated. It is possible to make optimisations and uncover potential cost savings. To do this, information must first be provided on the primary product, the primary packaging and the secondary packaging (design, weight, dimensions, load-bearing capacity, etc.). This is followed by information on the internal material handling (palletising, logistics and storage) and the processing at the customer. Finally, there is the information on the delivery of the filled secondary packaging as well as handling and logistics in the retail trade. The current scenario can then be copied and adapted as desired. By changing the details, the tool simulates possible savings in the form of pallets, trucks, CO2 and costs. The cost savings of each area can be displayed as a bar chart or table. This allows us to identify where the cost differences have come from and make an informed decision on what changes to make.

Bike Fun International,one of the leading bike producers in Europe, was achieving strong growth of about 10% per year. In order to keep growing at speed, they knew they had to reduce inefficiencies.

Using our SupplySmart process we scanned their packaging, warehousing and logistics in order to create our solution.
