Hyvä is THE new frontend solution for Magento 2. Unlike technologies like PWA, it is built native in Magento, so easy to use for Magento developers. But, instead of the default Luma frontend that comes with Magento and has more than 200 dependencies, Hyvä only has 2 dependencies: Alpine and Tailwind. This makes Hyvä extremely lightweight and thus fast: it will give you an out of the box Lighthouse score of 100, higher than any other frontend currently on the market. This is why Hyvä is growing rapidly: currently more than 1.000 Magento stores are live on Hyvä, while the company only started a year ago.

Today, the default Luma frontend is still the most used frontend in Magento. Hyvä is much faster, easier to use and thus cheaper than Luma. Luma will give you an out of the box Lighthouse score of only 48; Hyvä gives you 100. Development time in Hyvä is usually only 30% - 50% of the development time in Luma. This is why more and more Magento agencies switch to Hyvä as the default frontend. Compared to other competitors, such as PWA Studio or VueStorefront, Hyvä is much easier to use because it is built in native Magento. PWA requires a whole new skill set from Magento developers and thus takes a long time to learn. Because Hyvä is still PHP/Magento, the learning curve for Hyvä is much steeper. Also, although PWA solutions promise modern technology and good performance, Hyvä performs much better than any PWA solution currently on the market. Hyvä is also much cheaper than PWA solutions: a license costs only 1.000 euro and the development time is only a fraction of the development time in PWA.
