Our cities are in gradual decline, with 60% of interactions already taking place online, a trend that is rapidly intensifying. Physical spaces are taking a back seat in the digital world. Shops, cultural institutions, museums, showrooms, exhibitions, galleries, archives, zoos, hotels, malls, restaurants, city centers, and amusement parks are all struggling with declining foot traffic and revenues. Yet these places have immense potential and serve critical societal functions. They are hubs of human interaction and public engagement, offering an experiential value that the virtual world has yet to match. Our goal is to bring visibility to these physical spaces through a cost-effective, convenient and automated solution, ultimately revitalizing city centers!
UpVisit is the first platform that enables analog spaces, regardless of size, capacity or budget, to create a customized digital experience. We not only provide a centralized app with multiple locations, but also facilitate a holistic customer journey that is tailored to the individual needs and expectations of visitors. Within our app, users can discover and bookmark different nearby locations. During visits, users can access multimedia and multilingual information via QR codes, ranging from speaker line-ups at trade shows, aroma profiles at a wine shop, challenges and tours at exhibitions, to navigation or audio files at a museum. Bringing together the best of the digital and physical worlds to create a unique phygital experience.
The uniqueness of the UpVisit app lies in being the first of its kind, introducing an entirely new approach to digitally experiencing retail and city centers. Consequently, it is challenging to distinctly differentiate our product and service from immediate competitors. In a broader sense, we compete with companies that aim to address the issue of urban and retail decline through a digital approach. What sets our concept apart is our ability to offer a cost-effective, convenient, and automated solution, contrary to the prevailing belief that digitalization is always costly, time-consuming, and requires extensive expertise. Our solution even allows customers to embellish it further using a modular system through drag-and-drop, providing a hands-on, DIY approach. Theoretically, we can develop a functional use case for our customers within a few days. Moreover, we see ourselves not only as app providers but also as consultants, actively collaborating with interested establishments to identify problems and develop a customized customer journey. We believe in combining our expertise and efforts to halt the decline of city centers.
The UpVisit app itself has only been available since March 2023, so its launch alone has been our biggest product innovation in the last 12 months. But even since launch, we've been able to implement new features in the app, such as the AI image generator in the UpVisit CMS, which allows our customers to create images and graphics for their content in seconds. "We don't have the capacity to create content" is now history once and for all. We have also added gamification elements to not only attract visitors to the site, but also to inspire them on an emotional level and turn them into returning fans of the stores, facilities and the UpVisit app.
The delicatessen store vomFass is dedicated to selling high quality and sustainably produced products such as vinegars, oils, spirits, liqueurs, wines and exclusive whiskies, either made in-house or sourced from selected family owned businesses. Our client, vomFass, identified a challenge in losing potential customers because, while some products were sampled, many customers felt overwhelmed by the variety of offerings. Due to staff shortages and the extensive product range, vomFass struggled to bridge the gap between tasting and purchasing. With UpVisit, a solution was found to explain the various products and create an entertaining and enjoyable experience that was also multilingual and multi-sensory.
