Kienzle Automotive GmbH is mainly involved in the sale and service of devices and systems in the automotive environment, such as the well-known Kienzle tachographs and complex telematics systems for controlling and optimizing vehicle fleets.

In the tachograph business, Kienzle supports at 6 locations around 700 contract partners with commercial vehicle workshops and over 10,000 commercial customers from many sectors.

As the tachograph and training business requires a lot of consulting, the aim of the presented project was to add a new digital channel to the customer care, in order to increase the efficiency and to reach a broad group of digitally savvy customers.

To achieve this goal, SUNZINET, operating as an innovative full-service agency and digitalization partner, successfully implemented a B2B sales and customer self-service portal.

During the initial project phase, close collaboration with the client allowed us to thoroughly understand their requirements and objectives. Using these insights, we crafted a tailored concept that precisely aligned with the needs of Kienzle Automotive GmbH.

The choice of Shopware 6 as the portal's technical foundation was strategic, leveraging its robust features for optimal B2B sales portal realization. The extensive capabilities of Shopware 6 empowered us to develop a user-friendly, scalable, and secure platform, specifically tailored to the unique requirements of Kienzles customers. The sales portal, designed with an emphasis on an appealing layout and an intuitive user interface, enhances user experience, enabling customers to navigate efficiently.

This successful implementation has significantly streamlined Kienzle Automotive GmbH's digital sales processes, enhancing operational effectiveness, customer service, and ultimately boosting sales through a modern and user-friendly B2B sales portal.

The B2B sales portal represents a pivotal step in Kienzle Automotive GmbH's digital sales evolution, delivering distinct advantages by precisely addressing the needs of business customers. The portal's targeted UX & UI ensures a seamless user experience tailored to the specific needs of the target audience. Integration with the ERP system provides a comprehensive view of orders across different sales channels, improving efficiency and response times to customer inquiries.

Personalized shopping experiences are ensured through the display of customer-specific article data, such as individual prices, after login, fostering customer loyalty. Recurring purchases are also facilitated by various functions, such as the order history, favorites or an upload of parts lists. Notably, the portal offers a unique feature allowing customers to check and book their required training and certification courses and events directly and on time, contributing to their professional development and industry awareness.

Especially the new tachograph finder, which is designed as a funnel, enables customers to independently determine their appropriate, compatible devices based on vehicle data. This feature simplifies product selection and facilitates the purchasing process, which previously required direct contact with Kienzle product advisors.

In summary, the digital B2B sales portal distinguishes itself through customer focus, seamless ERP system integration, personalized pricing, and additional offerings like training and events, providing a comprehensive solution for companies valuing efficiency, customer-oriented services, and innovation.

As a sales representative at Kienzle, the digital B2B sales portal has a significant impact on my daily work. The high level of offered self-services makes my customer interaction much easier. The target group-oriented UX & UI makes navigation effortless and allows me to fully focus on the individual needs of my customers.

The integration of our ERP system provides a comprehensive overview of customers' orders from all sales channels. This enables me to process inquiries faster and noticeably increase customer satisfaction.

I would particularly like to highlight the function for booking training courses and events directly via the portal. This expands our range of services enormously and we offer customers the opportunity to register for training courses using their account. The tachograph finder is an invaluable tool, as it allows our customers to quickly find the right products for their vehicle and speed up the purchasing process.

Overall, the B2B portal has optimized our sales process. It gives us a clear competitive advantage as we can offer a first-class service thanks to this innovative platform.

It reduces manual processes and time consuming customer support on product selection and event booking and helps us to deepen customer relationships while working more efficiently and with different priorities.
