Jonckers in-house developed, AI-powered platform WordsOnline enables companies to go global faster through Continuous Localization. Simply put, WordsOnline changes the way we translate.
Even if an online customer is multilingual, they tend to prefer to browse in their native language. If the full experience is in their native language, there will be a higher chance of them engaging and making a purchase.
Jonckers removes the language barriers, enabling companies in retail/eCommerce, manufacturing and automotive, travel and tourism, hospitality, and IT/hi-tech to communicate with their customers in their native language with ease - up to 50% cheaper and 80% faster than traditional translation services.
Jonckers manages translation at scale like no other. A recent project (April 2022) involved subtitling more than 65 thousand minutes of content into 12 languages. That represents a wordcount of more than 8 million words which was completed in less than a month. The client is so happy they started a new subtitling project soon afterwards.
Additionally we won the Gold Award in ‘Innovation in Customer Service – All Other Industries’ in the 2022 Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service for our intelligent workflows, translating customer service queries with a translation time (including human review) of 3 minutes.
When our CEO Silke Zschweigert saw WordsOnline for the first time, she said that she’d never seen anything like it in her more than 20 years in the language industry. Silke knew WordsOnline had the power to revolutionize not only Jonckers as a business, but also the localization process as a whole, if we were to make WordsOnline accessible to the public. In 2020 Jonckers created the website wordsonline.com to introduce new customers to the platform and in 2021 we announced two innovative new services within WordsOnline: an instant ordering service and a translation subscription service.
WordsOnline has consolidated Jonckers’ strategic positioning within the language services industry. By bringing WordsOnline to market through the new Translate Now and Subscription modelling, all companies can benefit from our Continuous Localization platform. Jonckers journey from being just another language service provider to become the language platform for all enterprises who go global.
The launch of our subscription service is particularly noteworthy, as this was the first translation subscription service in the industry.
Knowledge Management Leader at Microsoft says: ‘After many years working together, we're still delighted with Jonckers' service. We value high-quality translations, a competitive price and high-speed turnaround and Jonckers delivers on all three. No one comes close to their pricing and quality level. Amazon’s publicly-approved case study shows their satisfaction in the huge translations volumes - millions of words a week - for their worldwide eCommerce descriptions. “With WordsOnline, dozens of project team members can work jointly on huge volumes to localize everything in short turnaround time. I am fascinated when I realize that it only takes one click by the client to trigger so many internal semi-automated processes and sending work to hundreds of linguists who make that click work delivering great results. Seeing all the people, steps and processes mutually working together, and how natural all the steps flow one after another is extremely satisfying.” Vladimir Nemec, Program Manager at Jonckers. jonckers.com/amazon
Jonckers’ customer list includes some of the largest household-name brands in the world: Amazon, Adobe, Microsoft, Panasonic, and Turkish Airlines, to name a few. The translation and localization projects we undertake for them are therefore of a huge scale, encompassing hundreds of languages, millions of words, and incredibly tight deadlines.
Changing the workflow to WordsOnline made it possible for our clients to meet urgent deadlines and to provide the quality levels needed. The use of Neural Machine Translation together with our specialized post-editors and automated workflows etc., resulted in over 50% cost savings for Microsoft. (see case study for more information)
The quality of translation has been measured in their online engagement metrics: Sr. Content Program Manager at Microsoft: “Not only do you find creative ways to quickly adjust and improve our fast-changing localization processes you are also very fun and easy to work with. You work smart and are very agile, which in turn allows us to thrive.” She further added “We track customer feedback on the articles, and their helpfulness, per language vs. other language. We have seen a higher usage of the content and higher ratings through the data.”
