2Checkout (now Verifone) helps businesses accept payments globally from anywhere in the world, and grow digital commerce revenue streams across geographies, business models, or channels. Merchants can orchestrate all sales and orders from a single commerce interface, with capabilities for one-time and recurring sales, consumer sales and business deals, retail goods and online services support, standard and custom deals, self-service, and sales-assisted orders.

The 2Checkout Monetization Platform covers 200+ countries and territories, 45+ payment methods, 30+ languages, and 100 display and billing currencies. The Intelligent Payment Routing and the support for multiple payment processors help merchants achieve the highest possible payment authorization rates for their transactions. In terms of pricing configurations, the platform supports per unit/user/seat, usage billing, tiered pricing/volume discounts, dynamic pricing, one-time service fees, or trials.

A unique aspect of the platform is the ability to work with multiple payment models. Clients can go to market using a Merchant of Record (MoR) model, a Payment Service Provider (PSP) model, or a hybrid of both. Within the MoR model, 2Checkout (now Verifone) is the reseller, being in charge of everything implied by cross-border transactions – payment processing, sales tax management, invoicing, billing, tax, and compliance. The PSP model enables us to handle only payment processing and subscription management.

In the last 18 months, 2Checkout (now Verifone) has worked towards optimizing our platform which brought a multitude of new features and enhancements to the 2Checkout Monetization Platform.

Some of the most important updates we’ve made include streamlined payment methods (iDEAL, Alipay, UnionPay in API, and more), ordering engines, connectors, API, and more.

Compliance with local taxes is one of our strengths, enabling merchant to sell in any region with minimal effort. We are always compliant with the latest regional regulations around taxes, and so in the last 18 months we’ve updated our taxation policies for countries such as India (the Digital Sales Tax), Canada (GST and PST tax), USA (new VAT tax in Georgia), and more.

The latest version of our API and connectors make it easy for merchants to manage all aspects of online purchases, sell via any channel, integrate any business model, have control over their branding elements, as well as retain and service customers from their preferred systems.
