retail.red is a ready-to-use retail solution from Shopgate GmbH and offers everything needed for omnichannel commerce and modern customer service. Beside Ship from Store, the “suite” includes currently the functions Click&Reserve and Click&Collect. Ship from Store gives store-based retailers a powerful tool for reducing costs, avoiding missing online availability, and making more effective use of goods and products. This is because of an intelligent link with the online shop - the local stores become their own shipping warehouses - online and offline. This drastically reduces the transport distances for parcel shipping. With Ship from Store, products can be handed over to a shipping service provider directly in the store and delivered from there to the customer's home. retail.red checks the stock levels in the stores and ensures that orders are combined into as few individual shipments as possible. This not only reduces shipping costs, but also protects the environment. Retailers do not need to set up or maintain additional, expensive and complicated logistics chains. Instead, they can concentrate on the strengths of retail and create perfect shopping experiences for their customers. At the same time, this increases the potential turnover of retailers, as they avoid the problem of goods being displayed as out of stock in the online shop, even if a local store still stocks these products. A comprehensive rule system allows retailers to individually define which stores the ship-from-store logic should prioritize and so optimize their own processes. Via in-store apps for smartphones, tablets (iOS & Android) and browser, we offer maximum convenience for their employees as well. Our system is simple and easy to understand and supports their processes with a.o. automatic reminders and configurable time limits!

Our biggest innovation in the last 12 months was the release of our Ship from Store solution. While Ship from Store itself is nothing new, the ease of use for store associates, combined with the complex yet simple to configure order routing system, is something that no other solution can provide. Our customers are able to start really quickly, configuring just some simple rules. Do you want to prioritize warehouses or stores? Can all stores ship or just specific ones? Should we prioritize speed and distance, or optimize the inventory usage? But you can also go much deeper. Set limits per store, exclude certain products or product groups, define location groups for certain local areas and more. All processes are tracked and analyzed, so you can easily see where to optimize your business. And everything is configured in our UI, no developer needed if you want to change your business logic. It's the best of both worlds, enterprise-level flexibility and the simplicity to ship orders from the palm of your hand.
Like many retailers, Shoepassion's goal in implementing a new omnichannel solution was to avoid significant technical risks in migrating existing systems as well as high expenditures for internal resources in order not to jeopardize the actual management of day-to-day business and to keep costs manageable. The experts of retail.red delved deeply into the industry and business requirements right from the start in order to streamline the complexity of the processes so that Shoepassion's employees could continue to concentrate fully on their day-to-day business. Not only does Click&Reserve help Shoepassion increase its traffic in the local stores, but it also has a better overview of how its digital marketing efforts are impacting in-store visits and sales. This not only creates a holistic view of customers' buying processes and preferences, but also leads to measurably better results from performance marketing campaigns and more sales. Through consistent open and transparent communication, not only the team, but above all the retail.red product made it easy for Shoepassion to adapt the webshop accordingly for the future, to connect it with the existing back-office systems, and thus paved the way for rolling out Click&Reserve for all other local stores - via telephone and in just one hour per location!
Initial situation: Even before the Corona pandemic, Shoepassion was already thinking about how they could use their already popular online store to bring more visitors to their retail space. Shoepassion's goal was not only to simplify the customer's shopping experience, but also to reduce the number of returns and to significantly increase sales and customer loyalty by providing targeted expert advice in the local stores. But the question was where to start? Would a customized solution that integrates with existing systems be the right choice, or would there be a risk of underestimating technical risks that could, for example, paralyze the entire webshop, and thereby take up too much internal resources or lose sales? Solution: Shoepassion opted for Click&Reserve with retail.red and thus for the ideal solution to offer their customers the possibility to reserve items online and pick them in the store. retail.red ensured the seamless linking of off-, online- and mobile channels in front- and backend systems without the challenge of a complex and cost-intensive IT project. Result: After just one week of work, the luxury footwear brand now benefits not only from a unified view of its inventory and a sustainable increase in "customer lifetime value," but also gets a better view of how its digital marketing efforts are impacting visits and sales at its stores. Of all the customers who placed an order via Click&Reserve 60% actually came into the store. Of these, 69% then also bought what they reserved.
