E-Commerce bag with consecutive barcode

After the packing process, each package or shipping bag is provided with a label and a barcode that contains all the individual information about the packaged goods and the addressee, i.e. the consumer. As each barcode is different, it cannot be conventionally printed beforehand and is therefore usually affixed as a separate label. this requires a special work step in the packing process and of course the necessary labels that have to be applied.

Our solution can do without all of this, as we have found a way to equip the packaging or shipping bag with serial and constantly changing barcodes during the production process using digital printing technology.Tthis saves a great deal of time, resources and unnecessary material in order to significantly speed up the packaging process and also make it more sustainable, as the additional labels can be dispensed with completely. It is important to know that the carrier material of the labels consists of so-called silicone paper, which is not recyclable and must be categorised as special waste.

The use of digital printing sounds logical and simple at first, but requires a high level of experience and know-how as it is very deficient in applying it accurately and legibly at high production speeds. Furthermore, the digital printing machines for industrial production are very capital intensive in terms of their investment and require entrepreneurial belief and commitment.
